“Arabia Finland Finel VEGETA enamel canister with lid - Design by Kaj Franck & Esteri Tomula

Kaj Franck designed the canister in 1950. The ultimate idea was to ease restoring and serving cold dishes. The idea was to move the canister directly from the refridgerator to the table. The form of the canisters enable them to be layered, which obviously save room. The form of the canister was complemented with the facinating Vegeta decoration created by Esteri Tomula.

The model number of the canister is 5312. The canister was manufactured by Wärtsilä, which also used the Finel trademark in the Finnish Arabia group. It was produced in 1950-1970z The canister is made of enamel steel and is decorated by using the silkscreen method. Vegeta canister brings real retro spirit into your kitchen.”

Some chips on the top lip of the enamel, apart from that it’s in great condition. A real collectors item.
